went to pay the towing guy for towing my bike to the shop. 235 bones!! *gasp* =-o me: "what do you estimate the damage to be?" mechanic: "fork and triple clamps are probably bent." me: "and so... that means...?" mechanic: "well... do you want it near perfect, or perfect?" me: "uh... perfect. i don't want to be riding a non-perfect bike." mechanic: *nods* "then i will probably total it." me: *thinks* yay! new bike! :D now i just hafta wait and see what insurance will pay me. dood... i dunt like waiting. plus dem R6's are selling out fast! he says they only have about 5 more blue ones. you can hardly find anymore of the 2002 models in the area. oy vey. i need a bike... cuz of traffic, cuz of going to linda's, cuz of parking... insurance people! pay me pay me already! (: xxx Thursday, May 30, 2002 very uneventful day. got up early and took linda and swan to the airport. they're off in stockton at their cousin johnny's graduation (whoops! i put wedding before... uhhhh... :-) )... so swan lent me the car for the day. doing a lot better today... still hobbling around tho. knees hurt a lot at times... best when i'm not walking on them... but when the 600 mg of motrin/ibuprofen its all bueno! :D i also have vicadin! whooo! *delirious from meds* haha - but i don't hurt that much. if you need some hard pain killers... or you just need to "get away"... i have them... lemme know. (: watched some tv, then slept the afternoon away. left my wallet in westwood at lin's place, went back to get it. hung out with vinh a little. came back, bought some gauze and tape for the knees. just chillin' now... doo... insurance is a pain! tomorrow i need to go to the poh-poh station to get a copy of the police report so that i can get the other party's insurance info. also having my banged up baby towed to a shop. they're gonna do the estimates and what not and then an insurance adjuster will go out and see and take pictures of it. i'm almost wishing it is totalled... cuz then my payout will be bigger, and perhaps i can get a new bike. but i will leave that all up to God. i know that He has a plan for me... for all this... i just have to be patient... to dwell in His word... and also to use this time off from work just to be quiet before Him. i am BLESSED! if i haven't talked to you in a while... oh yesh....we are dorks! (: xxx sorry that it has been a while since i've written about the going-ons in my life. lets just say i'm thankful for life and God is definitely oh-so-good to me! :D it kind of sucks to not read about me and then suddenly hear about my motorcycle accident eh? oh wells... i just finished this new blog page... and coincidentally became good friends with mr. asphalt... its all bueno! :) just wanted to post up some pictures of my minimal (praise God!) injuries and some pictures of my poor baby. *fatlip pout* Dx enjoy!... errr... yeah. both knees, right knee, left knee, bike, bike rear, headlight, gas tank, right fairing, passenger seat. xxx happy tuesday! wait...its not tuesday...it's wednesday...but this blog will be about tuesday. it was quite eventful (: on my part...had 4 hrs of sleep...had a stinkie midterm...had to walk the long route back up to the dorms due to construction...wasn't the best day, but it was nice to finally be in my room until i received the most dreadful call...joshUA got into an accident today on his motorcycle...craziness man. so im not gonna explain the whole detailed story, but basically it goes like this: crazy lady's car hanging out in the middle of the street looking to turn left/ meanwhile josh is whippin thru a curve in the road/ crazy lady is still in the middle of the street/ no time to avoid her, josh slams into the car/ plays superman for 5 seconds flying over the car/ lands on his right arm and hits his head and slides about 10 feet.... =\ and from all this...all he has are pretty banged up scraped knees...praise God he wasnt hurt any worse! we were in the ER for about 2 hours...doctors and cops were so amazed at how minor his injuries were, especially from a motorcycle accident. One of the cops said "man, you are one lucky guy. someone out there is definitely watching out for you." mmmm...the big MAN upstairs is indeed *sigh*... lesson from the GOC weekend retreat: be thankful in all circumstances...thank you God! xxx |
